Books I've been reading while working on Water For Elephants:
Except for Circus Fire, they're all about the depression. North River is a novel, set in New York City, and worth reading just for itself. The others I'm skimming, since they're all non-fiction - I happen to love non-fiction in general, but I can never read it cover-to-cover.
I borrowed all the images from Amazon - thus the orange arrows in the corner. They're also all available at the library - there may be other books I could or should be looking at for research, but these are the ones I could get for free.
