Christmas Vice

Here are two photos of my recently reorganized work bench, and my brand new vice, a Christmas present from my husband (who clearly loves and understands me, since I have been secretly lusting after a vice even since I got the bench last spring). I nearly dropped the wrapped box on my brother-in-law's new glass framed piece of art when I first picked it up Christmas morning, because I thought I was getting a crock pot, and totally under-estimated how heavy the box would be.

My husband is the coolest - I didn't really want a crock-pot, even though I had told him it would be a useful gift.

your dad laughed. He reminded me that you have a vice here, which is very convenient! He thinks it is a good looking set-up.

Yes, the vice at the farm is actually a 3 pivot, and it is bigger, so it is officially cooler than this one. But that one is also bigger than what I need these days - the new one is one size smaller. So it fits my current needs perfectly.

And it is red :]

I am sooo jealous of your vice. It is really beautiful. It's wonderful to look though your blog every few months and see what you've been working on. They look lovely from out here.

Charlotte!! I promise that when Henry is 3+, you too can have a vice :] Although I suggest you start with 'bench work', as Leon calls my work bench - that way you'll have some place to put it...
