I'm going to see this exhibit at the Nation Museum of Women in the Arts on Friday:
I'm hoping the exhibit will give me lots to think about.

I'm contemplating asking The Powers That Be at APL whether I can put Baby Proof back into the collection here at my branch, as a test for myself. Sort of like a public critique. I take the nature of libraries and their relationship with books and patrons very much for granted, and I'm realizing that I need to think more analytically about that aspect of the project.

I love the book - I bought it too :] Must own art books! I'm not so sure about the show as a whole - I thought a few pieces worked really well, like the magnetic brick 'flip-book' of building demolitions in Detroit, and the visual pun of the 'leaf book'. I wasn't so excited about the rest of the show, but it did give me a lot to think about. And talking with my friend about what we did and didn't like, and what we did and didn't respond to, was quite useful.

Hope to see you tomorrow!!
